Troubleshooting the Smart Board - Red Light Issue

On occasion the light on the Smart board which should be green after logging in stays red. If this happens the computer cannot communicate with the Smart board. There are several simple solutions.

They are as follows:
1. Reboot the computer (select Restart from the Start menu)
2. Unplug the USB cord coming from the Smartboard, count to ten and plug it back in.
3. Try plugging the USB cable into a different port on the computer.
4. Put a pen into the reset button for 10 seconds. The reset button can be found on the right side of the board behind the light. See diagram below.
